The idea
Every letter carries a numeric value. Total the letters in your name, reduce it, and you get your name number. Name correction adjusts the spelling — usually by one or two letters — so that this number sits well with the numbers in your date of birth.
Two systems, two answers
There are two systems in common use, and they do not always agree:
- Chaldean — the older system, values 1–8, based on sound
- Pythagorean — the simpler system, A=1 through Z=26, reduced
A serious analysis checks both and explains any disagreement rather than quietly picking whichever gives a nicer answer.
What it will not do
It will not make money appear. It will not repair a relationship on its own. It will not override the cycle you are currently in. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling something.
What it can do
What a corrected name does is remove friction. Clients most often report things starting to move that had been stuck — a decision finally landing, a delayed payment clearing, an interview that goes better than the last five.
Adopting the new spelling
You do not usually need a legal change. Start with your signature, then social media, then email and anything else you control. Consistency is what makes it work; using the new spelling in one place and the old one everywhere else does very little.
